'2075 - Control d’assistència per targetes NFC' was the name of the final high school project of Gerard Jensen, Pablo Molinero and Joel Varet, where through an NFC reader and a WeMos D1 R1 they managed to create a system where teachers could see students' entrance time.
2075 was chosen after George Orwell's 1984 book. Originally it should have been called 2056 (the same difference of years as the book's prediction), but Gerard thought that book was published in 1940 and not 1949, making the number go up to 2065. After he noticed it, they changed the 000webhost subdomain to 2056, but they didn't like it. Since 000webhost didn't update their unused domains, 1965 was still marked as used, so they changed the name to 2075.
To do so, a web was built by Gerard using his new knowledge acquired from Ángel Ruíz Fernández (owner of arf20.com) using an old computer with Ubuntu Server to as the Apache Server. It still is the current server for this website. Using JavaScript, PHP, C++, HTML and CSS (Bootstrap mainly) the web ended up looking professional.
The teachers graded the project with the best mark possible (2, on a scale from 0 to 2). Gerard admitted that there was one detail the website didn't have. Gerard didn't know how to modify from the browser, files that weren't on the /var/www/html folder using php: the cron file (the time where emails were sent) wasn't able to be changed.
To make the website Gerard also used the experience from Plastic-Coin. Hence on the first 2075 version, the page was hosted on a 000webhost server.
