Plàstic-Coin, (also PlasticCoin or PTC) was a project developed by Gerard Jensen, Èric Blanes and Èric López in an attempt to implement a fiat currency for their high school (Institut de Sant Pol de Mar). Sadly it didn't go forward because the students didn't take long to realize that at the end of the course 1 PTC was worthless, so it didn't make sense to amass PTCs, because no one would be willing to buy. So they wouldn't be able to sell.

However, during the time it was going well, the students (mostly the Tèncologic) really used the coin as the base of homework trade and breakfasts.

The page still exists and it is accessible here. The system broke when Gerard tried to gain absolute control from his student account (be able to send negative PTC) but he made a mistake and let all the students do so. This page was Gerard's first important web project which we later used the experience to build 2075.
